The Paradox
Expensive, they say, too rich to be real,
Frugal, they whisper, too poor to feel.
Aggressive when speaking, too harsh to hear,
Humble, they claim, not passionate, dear.
Talk of children, they nod with a smile,
Yet question your worth in the career aisle.
Mention no children, their brows knit tight,
Wondering aloud if your choice is right.
